About Us

Owned and operated by Khammeck, Thongkhoune, and Phetkaysone Khounnouvong; aka: Dad, Mom, and Peter, the first Dok Koon Thai Cuisine restaurant was established off of St Johns and 52nd Ave.  The Khounnouvong family immigrated to the States from Laos in 1993 and worked in a Thai restaurant in San Jose, CA until they moved to Vancouver in mid 2003. In July of 2007, four years after running a successful Thai restaurant, they opened their second restaurant off of I-205 and Mill Plain Blvd.  This is a truly family run business.
